So I went out to check the bikes over & you guessed it no bananas! Her street triple - started first time & ran like a sewing machine. Ducati - dead as a dodo. Superduke - oil leak from the alternator cover which I knew about & was what I set out to sort, but the on/off button also intermittent. So £230 later a new switch is here & waiting to be fitted, tank off, air box off, headlight etc. etc. etc. oh joy.
On the bright side the Ducati needs an oil change, filters & plugs anyway so that will keep me keep me quiet for a bit next week.
Anybody else got similar end of winter joy?

You know you enjoy the endless surprises!  LOL

But to be real - end of winter? It's clear your climate down there is from another world with storms and snow across the country and heavy frost again this morning when I woke up. Confused

Well, here's how my new year started.

Entry to the MCC Exeter Trial....which starts in the middle of the night and finishes the following lunchtime.

Entered on my Beta X-trainer, with a recently rebuilt engine

Checking the bike over before I thought the front security bolt looked a bit 'funny': put a spanner on it and it snapped.

Fitted a new one, then realised the tyre valve had rusted and was barely sealing to the tube.

Decided I wasn't going to run: you have to have mind and body in the right place, and my stress tank was full and my rest tank was empty.

Sub-zero temperatures all night, super icy roads...perhaps I was lucky to miss it..

Roll on Easter, and the Lands End Trial.
