Been a ong time absent after sadly being forced to sell my lovely RSVR due to a deteriorating spinal condition.....that was a few years back.  I underwent major surgery this year and whilst the back won't allow me to fold myself into a Mille, it would allow me to ride this instead...happy days!

Sweet! Glad they got enough movement in your back to enjoy it!

Back is a mess Dave.  Titanium rods and screws fitted after decompression surgery and nerve channels reamed.  Was in agonising pain for 6 weeks post op but able to walk and ride again.  Supersport 950s suits me down to the ground.  Light, nimble and all the power you'd want on the road...I reckon it's as quick as my old Milles but a lot more comfortable.  The Ohlins shocks are fabulous, as is the handling.

Lovely,  quite a relaxed position?

It is indeed, slightly sporty but very comfortable thanks to decent leg room and very (all day) comfortable saddle.  It comes fitted with kreiga style luggage loops under the rear seat so dead easy to fit soft luggage to which is a bonus.  It's the first bike I've owned that would out handle my RSVR thanks to superb neutral balance, and top notch suspension.  Despite the modest 110bhp, it also feels quicker through the mid range (but is lighter than the Mille).

Sounds like a really good modern alternative to a touno.

It's certainly impressed me in all areas.  Brings a smile to the face every ride.  Sounds great, goes well, handles brilliantly, looks brilliant.  Out next week putting a few hundred more miles on it.  It's a bike that's gone under the radar here in the UK.  Not many seem to have been sold.  My guess is people pass it by when they compare it with 180bhp missiles, but that would be a mistake.  This one is 100% useable in UK roads and has more than enough grunt (ignore paper specs).  Pure sports bikes are a pita on the road and to me make far more sense on track, with a few exceptions in the naked superbike class (like the MT10sp).  I think, on the 950,  I could keep up with anyone riding anything else on the road with no trouble.  On track would be different (I've already scraped the underside on a spirited ride when cranked over LOL)
