So I bought this as its road legal for mots as I don't have standard exhaust my other two exhausts racefit growler and akropovic carbon end can  as not for road use stamped over it and to change the exhaust over is only a 5 minute job but putting the standard can on would be a bit more time consuming

Looks a good economic option

The road legal Akrapovic can be snapped up secondhand but are commanding high prices around £1000 and much more.

I’m lucky enough to have one in its box still plus the standard one along with the carbon end can.
Of note. Akrapovic claim the Aprilia standard can is 100db at 6500 and the carbon open race can is 102db at 6500.

The thread the other day talking about noise is interesting as the 80+6db for mechanical noise is on a drive by and not static. What that translates into static I couldn’t say but so long as it’s not revving hard in the 4 ‘test areas’ where excessive anti social issues are then things shouldn’t change too much. Of course Jimmys Mot nightmare may not be replicated around the country once the news stop going on about it as a sideline.
