an somebody please point me in the direction of a "how to guide" on bleeding the brake / clutch system? I've changed to HEL lines and pre epting its going to be a pain in the arse!

I've bought a hand held vacuum bleeder so fingers crossed that shall make life a little easier. Do I need to play with the bleed nipples on the master cylinders?

Thanks in advance.

The bleed holes are in the wrong place. You need to get the bleed screw to the highest point. Wedge the caliper pistons open using suitable piece of wood.
I use a easy bleed, but the bleed hole still needs to be highest, to let out the air.

Yep shouldn't have too much touble with the clutch or front calipers. Just changed the fluid on mine wirhout any issues. I use the old fashioned way.... milk bottle for the old fluid with clear tubing so you can see the bubbles. Open the bleed nipple as you pull the lever, let a little fluid through then close the nipple and then release the leaver. Repeat until no more bubbles and a good feel on the leaver. Start from the furthest point from the mc and work your way back up. I always go back and do it again just to be sure.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I use one of these, the kit includes the clear pipe with check valve and the bottle.

Thanks for the input Gents, the bleeder shall be here today so I'll have a bash this weekend.

Fingers crossed I can get out and ride the damn thing then.

Just a quick one, anybody know the actual amount of oil these bikes require?

It's a Gen 2.

Im assuming you mean brake fluid?

A litre should do you I've changed the front brakes and clutch with castrol react dot4 and still half a bottle left for the rear snd future bleeds.

Sorry bad apple, I meant engine oil, I just didn't want to ask in a new thread. I didn't explain myself properly.

I've got 2ltrs of brake fluid just in case I struggle.
