I thought about a new Tre a while back but got put off by huge warranty waits, importer issues and poor build quality since the Chinese ownership.

As used bike you would hope any niggles have already been someone elses problem and sorted, but how good spares availability or the solvency of the importer is now I don't know.

If the price is right as they say. They look the part and most of the research I did on the Tre said the engines were fairly solid if somewhat "mechanical" sounding if you know what I mean.

I doubt many would see that mileage.
If you don't want a Tuono, try an MV Brutale.

Talking to a guy recently, with a Benelli, he'd clocked over 30.000 miles, mainly continental touring. The bike hadn't let him down, but servicing made Ducati's seem cheap. He reckoned 6.000 miles per cam chain. But his was the original sports model with the rear fans, is that a TNT900

A mate had one.  Worst bike ever for reliability.  Spent more time off the road than on the road.  He got shot in the end because whatever work he had done, it kept going onto two cylinders.  Garage couldn't/wouldn't cure it, and the finish looked pretty dire to my untrained eyes. Personally, I think it looks like a dog's dinner.  Price tag was quite hefty for my mate's bike, but build was not up to cost of the bike.  Avoid.  Horrible thing.  If you want to go triple, a Triumph speed triple (street triple?) is the better bet imho.

Be wary, although I believe they are still made in the same factory by the same people as the Tornado's were the spares situation could be dire.

Parts for the Tornado's are unobtainable now, getting spares for them is like finding golden unicorn droppings.
