Hi All again! I remember on the old site the question of sprocket sizes. 16 front is not an issue. Have 16/43 on 00R and considering going same on Edwards , or would I benefit from 16/44?, we have no motorways this side of the country so top speed not an issue! Cheers Fatracker

I have 16/42 atm. I'm fitting a 44t Renthal next week to see if its better. You fellas that have 16/44, did you go straight for that set up or were you like me, went for a 16 on the front first, until the new chain had a wee bit stretch in it to allow the 44t rear to be fitted properly?

Hi I fitted the front sproket on the first service, and fitted rear one, once i had done a trip to the North West 200, so the chain was bedded in. Had 2k on it at change. Its best kept on one wheel. Ha!!!

Hi there lads, I've just been out counting teeth and my 2004 Factory is running 16tooth front and 40 rear. Is this right and willa 44 fit the rear without a new chain(the one fitted has only done 1300mls)or should I go for the 15 tooth front and leave the rear alone till I need a new chain and or sprocket fat bikers bounce better

Does a higher gearing have any noticeable effect on fuel consumption? The bike is already juicy.

marv......nope, no noticeable difference in mpg. Not that I've seen anyway. Been riding with 16/44 for a few months now and cant say I've noticed an increase. But then again, I rarely ride at 59mph everywhere!! [:D]
