As in the title myself, Dazzer and maybe Spooky are planning on a potter to hopefully meet up with IanG (still up for it Ian?) on Sunday. We'll be meeting at Chester services at 8.30am. Not sure on the route after that until Ian confirms. Won't be a fast one as me and Dazzer are on it!
All welcome to join us, just post on here if you want to meet up!

Cheers

I'm free Wink

Not long got back from an unscheduled ride tonight,do you remember Bruce, the guy with us last time on the gold Speed Triple?

He's not been riding this year so far as he never got around to Mot ing any of his bikes but he made the effort last w/end apparently.Anyway he phoned me up and said fancy getting your bike out and going for a blast,I was in the garage when he turned up and I though his bike sounded different,he's now seen the light and joined the V twin crew.

Well,  L twin really as he's got himself a cracking MultiStrada,150 brake, electronic everything including suspension Confused

Was I jealous ? only a bit.

Very nice bike though,he's up for Sun as well. I'll see if my 1098S & MV F4 owning mates are up for a rideout as well.

Like I said before,I tend to pretty much obey the posted limits,at least on Sundays when Plod & the vans etc are more active.

We had a really nice traffic free run tonight though, and even then managed to keep within the +vat self imposed limits.

Nice one Ian. Where's best to meet do you think? You mentioned a route from Abergele inland. Or shall we see you at the Pondy? Long as I get my Denbigh Moor fix I'll be a happy man.

Wayne, next time buddy!

Adam,my thinking was if you fancied staying on the A55 and coming as far as Abergele I could meet you and we could do the scenic route to the Ponderosa.

This takes in the Brennig road and the nice bit through the Clocaenog to Ruthin, then the Nant Y Garth to the Pondy, but it starts with good roads straight from Abergele.

Whatever suits you really,I and whoever comes along from my end will be doing that run anyway as it's direct but much nicer on a bike than the main roads.

I'll try and contact a few mates tonight about it but so far Bruce is up for it with his new Mutleystada and hopefully a few others may fancy a run as well,we could have a 1098s,SP1,MV F4 along as well with a bit of luck.

This sounds like a plan then Ian. Not sure of the time from Chester services to the Abergele junction but I know you will. Should be there around 9.15 ish? Kev will be out too!

Looking forward to it myself.

The A55 is a pita but you can get places quickly on it,I usually take about 20 minutes to get from home to work at Flint.

If you don't mind a bit longer on the dual carriageway I'm sure the roads from here to the Pondy will make up for it.

We did this route yesterday evening and Bruce had forgotten about these roads although he'd obviously ridden them in the past,I'm not sure how much we did on the last rideout,I know I took the Sv crew down that way on the National meet a few years back.

That's the one,if you want to come along I'll show you the way I go to the Pondy as I suppose that'll be the central point.

I've just put the battery back on the Mille in readiness as I thought I'd better use that rather than the Sv I had been running.

It could be interesting as it desperately needs a good service & setting up,and that was before I fitted one of Mark's modded headers and an FR 200 eprom last night.

It sounded good when I fired it up but I have no idea yet how well it runs, have to get out today and find out.

Excellent Ian. We should be there for 9 15 ish. I've got your number so if anything changes I'll call you. Good luck with your test flight today. Modded header made a huge difference to the midrange on mine.

OK,see you there Big smile

Just a thought, but as you come off the slip road if you go left off the r/about and immediately right keeping the camper van showroom on your left, immediately past there is a Shell garage on the right (you can see it from the slip road) I'll meet you there if you like?

I would give the directions to my house about 1 mile down the road but I don't want hordes of bloody noisy bikers disturbing the peace. Wink  LOLLOL    As if I wouldn't have woken the dead coming out LOL

My plans for getting some biking exotica along have taken a hammering I'm afraid, the 1098s is in dry dock being sprayed back to it's Tricolure colour scheme before being displayed in the dealers for sale, the Sp1 rider is working 5 days on and 3 off and not free till weds and my mate with the MV F4 who I do trackdays with seems to be on holiday.

That'll be just me and a 1200 Mutleystrada then Cry

I'm just back in from doing the Pondy to home again LOL

I swear I'm wearing a groove in those roads today.

It was a nice day to be out wasn't it? I hope everyone got back safely and in the allotted timeframe to keep the family peace.

What with the mighty Werx pipe and mine running so rich the others could smell it it's a wonder we got round really.

We were saying at the end that we should really make an effort to get as many of us as possible out for the next one, whenever that is.

For anyone who hasn't ridden the area before it really does have a lot to recommend it,I'm wondering if we could do something along the lines of a weekender sometime, perhaps a travelodge and arrange something for wives/girlfriends to keep them occupied, sightseeing or something.?

Discuss.

Nice to meet you mate Beer

I hope everyone was ok with the route and pace etc,I didn't want to go silly but I thought I'd better be somewhere around the posted limits to stop people getting bored.

The sheep were nowhere to be seen on my final leg home from the Pondy luckily.

And I don't think Russ will be thanking me for leading you down the "go kart track" LOL.

I forgot he prefers wide open main roads when on the MV,I have suggested he get another Ape. Ouch

Good to meet you Ian and put a face to the name.
I think the pace was perfect for a group ride, it's all too easy to get into a biggest balls competition with riders you don't know and it will for sure end in tears or a ditch, or both!,!
Glad your ride back was clear, I hooked up with a Busa down from the Pondy, all the way back to Wrexham, but not going daft, just a good progressive pace ( honest constable)

Not a problem Dazzer, good to meet you all today, your bike paint scheme is one of the best I've seen.
The green tank and fading into white is pure quality, you should be proud!!

Pics, damn!  I thought of that at the Pondy but must have had a senior moment before I could find my phone.

And I had both little spy cams on the bike as well and forgot about them till now Embarrassed

I also ache like f**k now,I don't feel this wrung out after a day on track but I have to say it was worth it.

I love this bike all over again, can't wait to get the engine set up properly now.
