very random question for you mate.
do you know, or do you know anyone who would know if a kawasaki zx636 a1p engine would go straight into a j model frame. if so would i need the wiring loom and ancillaries off the 636?
i've blown a great big hole in the crankcase of my 600 track bike and i've been offered a 636 engine.
cheers fella

Hiya Darren

the engine will fit you would need the loom as the crank postion sensor is different, you will also need the ecu and you might have to alter a couple of the engine spacers ( for length).

hopes this helps, good luck!

ive spoken to a few kawasaki folks for ya geez and as chupa chups states, it seems possible but a bloody ballache to do , you'd be better off trackin down a direct replacement it will be cheaper than the 636 motor, its a direct fit and you wouldnt have to bother with the other bolt ons that go with it!!

so possible but i wouldnt bother if it were my bike.

sorry i couldnt help any more dude , hope this helps?
