Hi, I am replacing my wheel bearings.
I was thinking of using All Balls bearings, I didn't think going to ceramic is really worth it. What do most members use also anyone have the bearing and dust seal numbers. Any advice much appreciated, thanks. |

some options. I don't have third party part numbers for the seals but a bearing shop should be able to match them by the sizes I put below.
Front:
Bearing AP8110094 x2 = SKF 6005-2RS1/C3 or SKF 6005-2RSC3 or Koyo 25x47x12, x2 seal 30x47x7 R21 AP8125841 x2 (Freudenberg Simrit) Rear: Bearing 25x52x15 AP8110093 x2 = SKF 6205-2RS1/C3 or 6205-2RSR-C3 by FAG (Double-lip), x2 seal 38x52x7 AP8125838 x1 |

All balls are just cheap manufactured bearings rebranded as all balls. Imho , you are better getting skf or koyo or other branded bearings from a bearing dealer, such as for example simply bearings.... Same with aprilia oe bearings are just normal bearings with standard aprilia mark up ! Ie 200% plus...same with all balls (ps all balls started by making special Japanese sized bearings that weren't available outside Japan , I have theirs on my yamaha it465 from 1981 rear suspension used some very silly sizes !) |

Thanks AF1, after a bit of research I found out that's true.
That's bit like the Yoyodyne slipper which I thought to be their own make only to find out it was a TSS slipper rebranded. |

where's the best place to get these from?
I'm assuming gen 1 and gen 2 have the same bearings fitted?

Hi, I looked Into bearings for my cbr600 and read the same thing about all balls bearings there just cheap really named bearings, but there were people that found them to be OK and had no trouble at all. Koyo was the make that most people went for. There was another brand from Germany I think but we're harder to get hold of. Hope this helped you.

Koyo part numbers, if anybody needs them:
I recently bought these Koyo bearings (they came as part of bike specific kit for an 06 Tuono). The 6 bearings (& 5 seals) cost approx. £30. Agree with the earlier posts re AllBalls. I'm sure they are just fine, but its good to know what you are putting in your bike. Replacing is such a palava you ideally want to fit and forget. Both SKF and Koyo are about as good as they come. Btw, the old bearings that I removed from my bike (that were the Aprilia originals) were all SKF. |
