Hi all, having had 2 Milles and 2 Tuonos Ive now bought a 2014 V4r.  Boy what a weapon.  I loved my V twins but this is brilliant.  Matt black and only 3.5k miles.

Now, I want to do the single seat conversion but not 100% on what I need.  On ebay there seems to be a lot of complete rear fairings from China, but I understand you need different metal hardware from the RSV4 to fit it.  So, whats the best way to go about doing this conversion and where do I get parts.  I see a place in America can supply the fitting kit but at $600+ so stuff that

Hi

Great choice of bike!

I could tell you exactly what you need despite having the latest Tuono factory so with the tail end you’re after.

But what I would suggest is look on AF1 if you haven’t already as it has kits and usually describes what you need with links to the parts.
Effectively you need the Rsv4 (eBay for a breaker)back end of the same year. Subframe will be the same (please check) so it’s both the rear fairing side panels , light, seat and seat cowl at least

Cheers, yes have looked on there but st nearly $1000 for everything, no thanks. It's also in america so will have to pay the extra fees when it arrives here. I may get the fitting kit from them and if I can't find one from a breaker I'll get one from China at £100.

I see your point. Can’t argue with that price. Be interesting to see how good it is.
As far as I can tell you just need a rear lamp for it.

There is a few on eBay for around £30-£50 secondhand or again some Chinese copies for same.

Can see why you wouldn’t want to blow £600 plus if they are okay products. One way to find out! Let us know

Cheers, all ordered, but dont think you need a different rear lamp. When I eventually receive it all and get it fitted I'll post the results. Got a house move to deal with as well so dont hold your breath yet 👍

Sweet I look forward to it

Been looking at rear lights. And yeah think your bang on with not needing the lamp. I though it different due to the difference on the RR back end.
For £100 great.

Ordered fitting kit from Texas Tuesday morning.  Arrived Friday morning.  Unbelievable.  Now waiting for the rest from China.  Think it will be a little slower.

Rear seat unit and fairing arrived yesterday, very well packaged, undamaged and very nicely painted matt black.  Fitted it today and on the whole all fitted fine.  The fitting kit itself is an absolute rip off for what you get.  If I was doing this again I would just order the two brackets from my local Aprilia dealer and reuse screws and bolts or use what I had around the garage.  You don't even need the little plastic bit at the back as this is also supplied in the fairing kit. That would be my advice to anyone intending to do this.  Anyway all done now, some photos attached, well would be if I could find out how????

You've lost me now.
This forum is not easy to use to post photos.  Should be just a simple attachment icon to allow photos to be added.  I wonder if it is because I'm not a paid up member so have restricted rights.  PM me your email address if you are interested in doing the same and want pictures.

Saddle is standard I think.  I bought the bike about 5 weeks ago from a guy who had had it from new.  Its a 2013/14 bike with only 3.5k on it and was totally original.  I have now fitted the rsv single seat fairing, LED sequential indicators (which needed resistors to stop them flashing fast) and tail tidy and removed pillion foot pegs.  Just waiting for an Arrow GP silencer now, then that will be it.  All bits kept so can be returned to original if or when I sell it on.
