Hi chaps a couple of questions regarding the transplant of the Ohlins shock and forks from a 2000 RSV Mille R to a 2002 Gen1 Tuono

Firstly will the Ohlins shock fit the Tuono without swapping the dogbone and side plates?
Secondly can anyone recommend machine/fabrication shop that can make a pair of spacers to allow me to fit the forks to the tuono. I have the correct triple clamp lower yoke.

The 2002 Tuono came with Ohlins front and back.

2002 Tuono was very first model, limited production run with Ohlins and full carbon kevlar bodywork.
People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

The 2002 rsv and tuono uses a shock with a different stroke and spring rate to a pre 2001 rsv. If it were me I would not fit a shock meant for the earlier linkage. Partly because it’s likely to mess with the handling but also because the later setup is better at handling rough roads which is mostly why they changed it.

If it’s an early shock you need the matching dogbone and triangles

It will work without but the ratio /spring rate is then all wrong

Another option for the spacers is TRW part number MCL51DH.
