Hi all

Quick question
lots of people talk about better stators and or regulator/rectifiers.
i cannot find any guaranteed to fit without modification any uprated bits

I have a 2006 registered Falco im assuming its a late reg 2003/04

If you ride it like you stole it then you probably did !

Not much wrong with the Falco stator or reg/rec. It's the Gen2 rsv's and Tuono's that have the issue as they run a 500w stator that is on the brink at the best of times. The Falco runs a 380w stator the same as a gen 1 rsv.

The Reg/rec is a basic shunt type and nothing fancy but does the job generally so unless it's causing an issue I would leave it alone personally.

In the process of working out which one is dead.
the battery goes flat after riding and the current across the battery terminals is 11.8v and drops to 11.3 @4k
got to test the volts from the stator if thats fine it must be the reg/rec
just a bit of testing before i start replacing things but was wondering if there was any part number for stronger or recommended parts

If it's the stator I would get it rewound (west country windings are best).
None of the aftermarket versions are any better and WWW have done so many rsv ones that they know exactly how to get it right.

Reg/reg wise there are lots of options but some require a bit of jiggery pokery with the wiring. Avoid electrex types though, poor products and poorer backup.
