any ideas ,bike starts no problem but starter still spins (thought it was the fans at first) when you turn off the key the bike turns over but dosent start till you turn the key back on ,had to disconnect battery to stop this ??????

Could be the starter switch on the bars sticking if it needs a bit of lube or more likely a sticking starter solenoid. |

fitted new solenoid on Friday all seamed fine went a blast today half way there starter fired up turned back got home every thing working fine ??, don't think its a sticky switch
as it happens just at random times ?? |

Did you replace it for this problem or has it started doing it since you fitted the new one.
