Putting the feelers out to see what interest we have in a Scottish ride out sometime soon? Weather is slowly getting better, drier, warmer etc.

What dates do you think we should kick this off with? I'm thinking maybe meet up somewhere in Central Scotland (M-Way services somewhere?) then head up to the Green Welly at Tyndrum for breakfast/brew and take it from there, maybe out the Dalmally road towards Oban, then around the usual circuit and back down via Glencoe?

I know we have a ton of Scottish members here but I'll put this up on the FB page too for more coverage. Wink

I just had my first run out yesterday, Edinburgh to the Hartside Cafe near Penrith good 240 mile run to shake the cobwebs out Smile

I'm hoping to get my internal tank fuel breather hose fixed ASAP before this ride out happens, otherwise we'll need to plan the route so there's a petrol station every 40 miles or so. LOL

Excellent. Fuel tank breather hose sorted  now so I'm good to go. Ride out doesn't have to be a 'one off', we can do a few Scottish meets if required.

If anyone is up for a decent run towards the end of July I was thinking if a west coaster
I regularly organised/ helped organise routes in the past for the local bike site .
Maybe a braemar meet up ???

Still waiting on my rear light to arrive after changing tail fairings. Bloody thing was supposed to have been posted 1st class last Thursday and its still not here. Until it turns up I'm essentially 'bikeless'. Thumbs Down

Once my tail light appears I'm up for this, even a wee run to begin with, see what response we get - one weekend soon around the Tyndrum/Dalmally Road/Oban/Glencoe circuit route? Coffee's at the Green Welly? Thumbs Up

Maybe worth kicking about some dates and times for this seeing as we are now into June, give folk plenty of notice and we are likely to get a more healthy turnout. Thumbs Up

I've got a rear shock to fit and my linkages to overhaul and I'm hoping to do so in the next fortnight. Then I should be good to go. You think we should be shooting for a July date? Keeping in mind Griff and the lads look likely to be coming up to sunny Scotland for another servicing day near the end of July/start of August?

Thoughts, folks? Smile

Once Griff has sorted all our bikes it might be a good idea to go out after that

I am potentially working the last weekend of July and the first weekend of August but am free before and after those dates, i am also getting my throttle bodies tweaked by AP at Andi's on the 29th so after then suits me better that way i have a bike that doesn't cut out when it feels like Tongue

Hopefully see you on the 29th m8, need my TB's done again and a Forza FR200 fitted to replace the FR100 that's sat in there just now. Make's sense, sorting a run after the 29th when everyone has had their bike fettled. Thumbs Up

Yeah, I know m8 - but the general opinion was wait until Griff and the guys had tweaked everyones bikes and then head out. The way the weather has been recently it wont really matter if we do it in July or August.......or later for that matter!
