Can anyone help with L.E.D. Indicators please ? Iam going to remove the front indicators / mirrors on my 08 rsvr and fit led indicators , ( front only ) would load resistors cure the flashing speed or will I have to go into the clocks ? If so can anyone please help with info / photos etc any help would be much appreciated . Thanks all Nigel

Going into the clocks is not really a viable option. Ideally buy led indicators that are rated at 5w load the same as the bulbs. If not load resistors is the next best thing.

Are there any such things available as that would be the equivalent of a traditional 40W bulb? Or can you get them with effectively a load resistor built in? |

I doubt there are 40w load leds bike lights out of the box but in theory you can add whatever load you want if you add the right resistance.

Slightly different as I have an '08 Tuono, but I changed the front indicators for cheapo sequential leds and they didn't need any ballasts. These just sat there and worked at the correct flash rate |

Ian G - The sequential LED's have 12 actual leds in the indicator each one drawing around 1.5 volts at approx 200ma that is more than enough to create a load not to need resistors.
When I had led's on frankie I made up resistor packs and tucked them in the fairing with double sided sticky tape. You can get pre made ones - for example |

Plus, if they are sequenial there must be a controller switching the leds on and off, so there's probably some pwm going on in there.

Tbh I was quite surprised they worked at all. And they're bright which was a bonus. plus you get 4 in a pack so effectivelly about £3 per indicator
