Hi guys can anyone help
Bike is a 2010 rsv4r with full bazzaz Basically the bike wont rev past 9500, it's like hitting a massive flat spot in the fueling Bazzaz has been on since feb with no problems until now. I will remove it as the first job but just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas. Revs great until the said 9500k Done some googling at alot being said about tps going wrong on some models. Cheers |

Don't think there is an awful lot you can do diy on those to test things but it was the demand sensor that had lots of issues and got recalled. Worth getting that checked out as it determines the load you are calling for from the throttle. Might just need a throttle learning done again. The v4 runs 2 injector banks with the upper set kicking in about 7k revs upwards so maybe there is a problem and there is a fueling issue on the upper injectors. I have heard of a few stuck at 7k revs because the 2nd injector bank is down so maybe a partial bank would get you to 9.5k Bypass of the Bazzaz would be a good starting point though as it would narrow the field. I would also speak to Griff and Lewis @ AP as they had a v4 with a Bazzaz issue last time I was there and might recognise the symptoms if it is a known problem with that unit. |

Thanks for the information very helpful.
I doesn't feel like a demand issue As it's trying to pull past 9.5 and probably would if I kept the throttle open. Sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere in upper injectors by what your saying. I'll take a look tomorrow. Is griff and co on here? |

Yes, Fusebox. The upper injector issues i saw generally stem from a poorly seated upper rail fuel line which sits right next to the ecu connectors. When fiddling with the ecu the line gets dislodged or removed and not re seated correctly. One I read about went 1k before the fault showed itself when the unclipped pipe eventually worked loose. |

Thanks for replies
Still no joy So far, removed bazzaz Checked all fuel pipes Checked crank breather Checked air fikter Checked all injector connections Checked map connections Checked exhaust valve isn't stuck Really at a loss, bike will pull to 9.5k effortless then loses power. It will pull through to redline but powerless. Also gives a weird noise at around 10k hard to explain sounds like it's coming from airbox are or front cylinders. Anyone any ideas please? If I had to call AP do you think they would give advice over the phone? Thanks |

Probably do what they can on the phone which probably isn't much for a v4 to be honest. They are doing a mobile service day in Scotland soon I believe at Andi's place. |

My 2011 RSV4 Factory had the exact same problem but also developed in the that the bike would rev constantly between 1 and 2k rpm when started. I informed the dealer who advised that this was a fault code and the bike had basically gone into limp home mode.....outcome? a sticking servo motor on the exhaust which was replaced under warranty and problem solved!
Hope that helps
