Looking forward to another year of using and abusing the RSV in the way it was intended, after the recommissioning work and making it into a fast road/track state last year. I've owned it over 12 years now which is longer than any bike, relationship or house!
The relationship took another twist yesterday when i was putting the trials bike away, I accidentally knocked the beloved RSV over in the garage onto my hydraulic bike workbench. The horror! I'd had such a sh*t day i couldn't bring myself to cry about it! It punctured a hole in the mostly mint Haga fairing near the screen bolts and smashed the original Haga double bubble screen. So I'm kind of stuck with what to do with it next - either hunt for some more OEM fairings of whatever colour i can get hold of, or go for a fibreglass track fairing and do a half conversion. It will still be road registered so will be a daylight MOT spec if you like. I'm guessing i go this route and keep it on road, the headlight will need to come out to fit the race bodywork on. It also needs to sit somewhere between a rattle can track sl*g and a finely sprayed pristine machnine. Both in finish and budget! Any ideas/thoughts? |

I remember that bike well now. What a beauty! It's got that OEM look about it which is a credit to the guy that put it together!
That's the sort of thing i'd go for, but to be honest the headlight isn't essential but would be a nice to have. Also depends on how much fabrication/wiring modification is needed whether it's worth the effort for what i'll use it for (daytime pleasure riding and track)
