The Valley track days? I umd and ard about it spoke to Paul and there was only a couple of places left, and they were in fast group, and then I realised I had to be somewhere else that weekend anyway! and my bikes not fixed either! What's the issue there ? Thought they were really popular

I think that IS the problem.
We were talking to Paul yesterday at Ty Croes and he apparently was able to confirm there is some opposition to the days taking place and they could be coming under more scrutiny. They have grown into a monster with a life of their own now. It probably didn't help the cause when somebody took out a landing light and someone else blew up and put so much oil down they had to re design the circuit pending a contractors clean up. It's not like a circuit where you expect that sort of thing, they had to go back to being a busy, active squadron base at 08.00 the following day, wouldn't like to have to explain the delay to the base CO. Sorry Boss,we can't have a war 'cos the runway's covered in bike oil and 'elf & safety won't let us taxi on it. |

Ow! I wouldn't fancy hitting a landing light, not like hitting a cat's eye. Skid pan testing for trainee pilots! Hawks spinning off in all directions! They do like their runways nice and clean. I remember a jcb boffing a load of hydraulic oil on runway in St Athan. I think they shot the driver.

Yeah, strange one that, don't know how someone managed to break the light as those sort of things are usually coned off and have tyres dropped over them.
It was off the racing line as well |
