Has anyone come across a 'no start' message before? Had my falco in for a service and ever since it came out it keeps cutting out on me. If you try and restart it just flashes 'no start'. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on again it will restart and run for a short time before cutting out again. I've read that it could be the tip over switch, but I've checked it out and all seems ok. Any ideas? Obviously taking it back to the garage is the first thing, but I can't get it to run for long enough to get it there!

Hubbahubcap I read your message yesterday, never come accross it before so i didnt think anything of it. Then this morning it happens to me! However, I had a tyre change yesterday and the guy fitting the tyre noticed my side stand was slightly loose so he tightened it up a bit. When the 'No Start' appeared this morning i kicked the side stand up and it worked first time. I have had the bike cut our before because of side stand problems but it never came up with that error. (I was also in gear, clutch in, when i started it up, dont know if this might make a difference?) Also when i pushed the starter i could hear the fuel pump whiring away, it usually only does this on turning the key? So it might be your side stand... Dont know if this helps or just muddies the water? Rhys

Cheers It does seem to be pointing at the sidestand switch, it now only does it when it has been standing for a long period(overnight), but when you flick the stand up it is fine. The only problem I have now is the speedo has stopped working...not sure if that is related in anyway yet.!!!

Well at last found the problem! I bypassed the side stand switch and ordered a new one, as it was totally full of water. Still kept cutting out. Then last Friday the bike wouldn't start at all, so I took the seat off, couldn't see the tip over switch. Found it wedged underneath the tank, which I had to remove to get it out. All works fine now, apart form the speedo, but hoping when I fit the new sidestand switch that will work again.
