Four hours of cleaning and the engine STILL looks no cleaner than before lol...

Good thing is that I've managed to crack off "nearly" all the rusty bolts that hold the clutch and alternator covers on plus the smaller water pump cover, I managed to get them all out bar one right at the front of the alternator cover - KUNT lol, although I can now see the engine number clearly where as I couldn't before lol...

I'am just cleaning up the engine as much as I can for the guys at AP to make it easier to work on lol, I've decided now to split the whole engine and get it rebuilt to factory tolerance or blue printing, if anyone uses that term anymore lol, I've heard different ways to get the cases and barrels etc done so what's best.....

It was recommended to me by a friend at Moto Di Marino for a mates Harley. Not used it on an engine although they had but it worked on corroded fork Stanchions a treat. It's a mild acid so don't get it on anything other than ally. it gave a matt ish finish like something had been sand blasted.

If you do strip it completely I can glass bead it and put it through our parts washers, you will not get your parts cleaner anywhere.

Hi Nicky mate, been a bit quiet. Could do with a few build threads to get everyone going again. It was a bit of a blow when Photobucket pulled the plug on free hosting, it made a lot of peoples threads a bit redundant, including mine. I'm going to try to put a small pic heavy thread of my bikes evolution on here again (though I recently accidentally deleted a load of pics, when a certain couple of big dogs jumped on the keyboard!). Be great if others would do the same. Facebooks good and all, but all the info anyone could ever want is contained here without all the misinformation.

Good that you're back, we've missed you Big smile

Question everything.

Been wondering how you have been getting on with the ktm dave. Definitely stick up some pics and let us know how she compares to " old silver " and the v4. I noticed that there's no pink seat on the mod list hehe.

Don't want to hijack Nicky's thread but I love it. Every ride is an event, I love the look of it & it spits flames on the over run. What's not to like!
