As per the title it's time to sell my 99 rsv mille. Overall condition I would describe as good for its age. I've owned her for just over 2 and a half years and have spent a small fortune on her as she was untidy when she came to me with a knackered sprag clutch. Since owning the bike it's had plenty of tlc and it never let's me down. It has served me well as my daily commuter but my other aprilia is getting used more now along with my other bike taking up space and sadly it's time to let this one go. Well maintained and serviced by myself with regular oil changes etc and currently has 11 months mot remaining. Fitted new rear pads not long ago and gave the dog bone bearings a good clean and grease and replaced the link plates too. In the time I've had her she has had the sprag replaced plus uprated solinoid both supplied by AP plus big boy battery. Clearances checked and all OK at 35000 miles and fitted new rocker gaskets as rear was weaping. Last year she had wheels sent away for blasting and refurbished followed by all new bearings and seals front and rear and new steering head bearings and fresh fork oil. Current mileage is 37362 but it will increase and oil change would be at 38000 or can be done before collection if required as already have filter so just need to get oil if needed. Everything works 100% including the rear brake and she comes with a pillion seat and a hump plus spare parts I have accumulated if wanted. Carbon huggers front and rear and carbon dash surround and refreshed carbon heel plates that I've not put back on yet. Quill titanium can sounds awesome and suits the bike too. Chain and sprockets all good, Disks and pads all good. Tyres good with plenty of miles left depending how you ride, factory racing reservoir covers, stainless front brake and clutch hoses and probably other things I've missed. It's biggest downfall is paintwork. It's not terrible but it does have scratches and chips here and there. Lots of bits to go with her.
Price includes all of the above and a nice registration ending RSV. £2000 takes the lot as it is. If it doesn't sell soon then I will be transferring the reg to my other ape and adjusting the price to suit. Pics to follow hopefully. |

Some other things I forgot about. Led rear light unit which has integrated turn signals but they are not wired due to being an mot fail if used but she does have led indicators all round. Also has a nice aprilia decal on the carbon rear hugger and a carbon rear number plate hanger plus newish paddock stand bobbins in red and carbon and has frame protector bobbins/sliders. Air filter is a reuseable BMC filter and she currently has an allarm fitted. The allarm isn't a top brand item but is super sensitive and doesn't drain the battery like some do. It's a cheap allarm but very loud and sensitive. Has both fobs and warranty card to be filed in by new owner.

Hopefully the above link will take you to my photo bucket account I've just tried to create. These pics were taken last year after the wheels where refurbed. Only things that have changed is the tyres are no longer new and the can is now a quill titanium one. |

I really do love it and thought I would never part with her but it's time for someone else to enjoy her like I'm enjoying my new toy. Nobody will believe me but it's been the most reliable bike I've owned and I've had a few. |

Had a rummage through some stuff last night and took a rough mental image of what parts I have that will go with it so here goes.
Original oil tank as it now has the stainless "R" version fitted. Spare belly pan in silver. Late gen 1 side panels in black with carbon air pullers. Rear subframe. Regulator/rectifier. Right outer air duct with a camera mount on it. If I find the camera then that's included too. Stubby blue flame can. Original brake and clutch lines. Original rear light assembly and plate hanger. Original stand I think I have somewhere as she's currently got the more stable fireblade stand fitted. Various spare bits and bobs including a new spare clutch slave seal. I replaced it last year and when I did I bought 2 so still have 1 left. Also have a spare starter motor as mine was playing up. I bought and fitted another from AP which is still currently fitted and refurbished my old one which works fine and is just sat as a spare so can go with everything else with the bike. There's probably still more I've forgotten but just thought I would update for those who have asked. |

I forgot to mention that it does have the original big air boot and a different chip in the ECU that was in the bike when I got it. All I can say about the eprom is its labelled RSV BOOSTER CHIPS.

Has Gosport got a railway station now? I used to play in the Victorian ruins on Forton Rd when I lived there years ago |

No train station lol but there is one at Portsmouth Harbour that as I'm sure you know is only 5 mins on the ferry so I could have popped over on the ferry. I've not lived here all my life but have visited some of the older relics arround here. |
