Hi everyone thanks for all the replys. Most helpful another question for all of you in the no. Does anyone no a aprilia mechanic who stays in edinburgh area. I'm looking to get shims, cam chains, ect checked and adjusted my bike has just done over 13k sounds great but just for piece o mind cheers Jimmy

i'd say get it couriered down to AP if you can stretch it, but if your just after a valve clearances check  you have 2 real main Aprilia places in Scotland, theres Jim Allan in Falkirk or theres Skinners in Dundee, failing any of those 2 you can give Eddie Stone at Knockhill a bell and put it to him and see what he says, guy works on Ducati, Bimota, Aprilia, pretty much everything......real sound guy......is actually Ducati Factory trained but an obsessive bike freak, very experienced....if its going to be a full shim change job then i dont think any of those guys will be too cheap so might be cost effective shipping it to Griff Thumbs Up

As Andy says Eddie is probably a good bet, he's not to bad. Just booked the wife's bike in with him and they spend the first hour just seeing what needs done then let you know costs and work needed. Only problem is they are in the arse end of no where .

Griff is back upon July if you can wait that long
