on 1999/2000 rsv mille r,  loud clonk noise when relase throttle suddenly.  also like there is some free play somewhere, when driving on constant speed , something have play. chain is new and tensioned properly. like gearbox diff have play.. hard to explain.

but that loud noise is worring me, every fast relase throttle something make noise. what it can be?  just chain noise?

CHeck the sprocket carrier bolts haven’t come loose. If the sprocket rocks on the hub they are loose or the Cush rubbers have failed.

Also worth a reminder to all that on some wheels the part the carries the sprocket is also pokted to the main part of the wheel  -  these have come loose in the past .

If they are not caught early then can ruin the wheel by wearing  away the bolt holes.   - it s a good one to check when cleaning  the  bike over winter .
