I bought this as a 'barn find' two years ago - 1965 original. Shot to pieces and held together by rust! Spent 12 months stripping, blasting, cutting, welding, priming, spraying, re-looming, cabling and swearing! Dropped a 200 engine in so picks up to about 70mph - 10" wheels and drum brakes.........what could possibly go wrong?! I avidly avoid the scooter scene - some guy in a parka told me last weekend that I could put in a Pinasco 215 top end and get.......19bhp and 75mph......woooooo..........that's dropping into second gear on my Tuono!

That said it's a fun little run around and looks nice sat next to my Nero Tuono - Beauty and the Beast!

Perhaps I should let Griff loose on it - V-Twin GS Vespa - now there's a thought!

I was always a lambretta man myself, did the scooter scene in the early 80's and had some great times, covering more miles than the so called bikers I worked with. Then I bought my mates kh250 and did over 40,000 miles on it and it's been bikes ever since.

Well that's just rude....hahaha...an RG500 powered Lammy ...i love things like that, that might be stretching it a bit far though .
I do love those 350 engined conversions though,I could have one of those in the collection quite happily

Just to take things that one step further though, what about this...i think it went up in flames shortly after being built(which was probably for the best ), but what a blast that would have been...

Amazingly well put together by the looks of it wasn't it, I think it could have done with some wheelie bars though
