Well after a very long lay off since October when the mot ran out my ape has been in the cave in various pieces after finding many problems. I bought the bike cheap a year ago as a non runner quickly got her going and decided to enjoy the summer on it and rhen do a full strip down and check over once the the mot ran out pointless doing it beforehand.

Just proves a clean bike can hide many issues .......

Long story short I've given her a full service including the valves, new bearings where needed, re wound the STATOR, new valve cover and generator gaskets, put the correct decals on, new levers, open airbox, AP rearsets ( special thanks to Mr Diablo ) , titanium Tigcraft cans and links, oem hangers, tailtidy and a bloody good de grease clean and polish/wax.

Extra thanks to Markymark67 also for the loan of the abba stand nd swingarm removal kit couldn't of done it without so hugely appreciated.

Went for its Mot Monday passed without any issues happy days!

Felt amazing to ride again these bikes are fantastic.

Now to deal with the leaking fuel tank from the plate on the pump. Was fine before I took it off to dry out now its leaking! Compared with what I've had to deal with this is minor......especially if i can convince the missus i need a carbon one hehe absolutely no chance !

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I know the fun and games you've had with that Adam but you are nearly there matey (get the fuel pump flange sealed) and get out and enjoy it.

I filled her up just before I got home so I'm heading out tomorrow to drain the tank then I'll sort the weep out next week hopefully that will be it for fettling for now. Id forgotten how nice she sounded the old man heard me coming thats for sure.
