Morning all,

Time has come to strip the Ohlins forks on by 2004 factory and give them a service. Looking to remove the cartridge to completely flush out the old oil but trying to find the correct tool is a bit of a faff. A web search shows 020952Y as an Aprilia fork cartridge removal tool, my question is, will this tool fit the castellations on the Ohlins cartridge or is this tool for the non factory forks.
Thanks in advance

I made one. Used a bit of tube and filed it down to fit.

It’s long gone so can’t check but Just from memory it was about 35mm. I do remember someone using white plastic plumbing tube as well.

I don’t recall it being hard to remove. The cartridge wall is really thin so I doubt they could torque it much or it would buckle. I found naff all sludge but that bike was only 5 years old at the time
