what started out as a comment from Hemi426 on the where is Diablo thread well here it is guys a page that you can post about anything

thank you Spoonz for making it so.

this is away from bikes, so any house or garden projects ,garage , man cave ,  travelling , , road trips , art , some weird skill you have you can show it off here , car builds or a wish list of what you’d do to one if you could buy your dream car etc, cycling ,paragliding, kayaking, fell walking, gym, running, weights, cooking , bbq idea’s , healthy diets (ha ha one thing i struggle with), car show photos , dogs (perfect for Diablo and Mari) ,what happened in lockdown did you pick up a new skill,  sport , hobby  , any good books , films , museums, etc , you name it post it in here.

we all have different stuff we do and you never know it may inspire someone to get involved and try it or just give feedback that could encourage you more.

the forum has been very quiet since facebook has come on the scene so it would be good to see some new stuff we aren’t all just about bikes or Aprilia’s.

cheers guys it’s over to you to make this what you want it to be and i’m really looking forward to seeing some interesting posts.

Well I might as well start it off, as my forum name suggests I like things with v8’s, it all started with my grandfather in early 60’s buying a Plymouth car off of an American service man and the transmission failed after a while, gramps was an engineer so ordered a repair manual from the USA and fixed it himself, he realised there was a market for this so set up his own business which he ran up until retirement, my father got the bug also but due to him falling out with gramps he set up his own company in 69 which we sold 3years ago, I was looking through some web sites and found a picture of his old company truck that he had in 73, I’d of only been 3 but can remember it clearly.
I’ve had a couple of dodge Dakota’s myself and hopefully a few more in the future before it all goes electric.

I’ve only owned one diesel which was my discovery, still own my 4.7 Dakota and my Audi s4 v8 and have a 5.7 hemi crate motor for possible future project, my dream car would be a 69 pro touring charger or a 76 pro touring trans am.

yeah i have had everything from masarati, audi, bmw whatever. nothings built like a AMG i also have 3 brothers all well into Cars and bike so between us we have had a taste of almost everything, Ferrari to jag, but AMG is where we all are.

is the CL a 215? how he get on with the strutts i had a w220 S500 thats was a pain in the ass until i swapped to a coil over kit, for the 107s i had mine completely refurbished by steven griffin with a concourse paintjob.

a 19 glc250 i got me mum before lockdown

in all fairness its a piece of sh*t 4 pot, it drove ok but feels generic as anything.

took about 2 years, if your brother wants to chat about them with me im a self confessed classics nerd and would be willing to help in anyway i can, some of the cuff advise for 107 buying - if it "needs work" avoid, these are not really project cars lot of specialized unobtainable parts, the glass headlights are rare as f**k and can kill the project, the same for the centre tunnel before buying a 107 it has to be gone through.

sorry to hijack the thread but my thread about insurance devolved hard into pizza delivery bikes WinkLOL

also a friend had a minto 202 just look at the size comparison next to the 205

yeah it’s got those funny struts , seem ok at the moment but he know he can swap them out , his mate a mechanic has one too so it’s about to be serviced and them ito the body shop for a bit or paint and a tart up… yeah i can imagine that 107 rebuild was a pretty penny the one we just looked at was a south african import that needed paint as every panel is a bubble or micro blistered allegedly gone though and checked i jumped under the front and pulled a chunk of the chassis leg off with a finger without any effort told him to walk would have been a money pit by the looks of it

yeah about £30k ish give or take, depends on what it needs obviously, the 215 strutt swapps is not a straight swap but if you know people it should be easy enough
