If it gets garbage alarms off bikes then yes it can be worth it.

thats quite cheap for the amount of work, i got quoted in the region of £350

Eek!  That's more than the alarm cost!  You can buy direct plug and play replacements for the Meta from this seller:


At £90 it simply leaves the Meta loom in place and you unplug the old one and plug in the compatable replacement.  Looks like a bargain to me and cheaper than removing the alarm.  I'd rather have it removed and the loom made good though.

Alarm now removed.  Transpired it wasn't even fitted properly as it didn't immobilise on two circuits as designed to!  Cost, including a major re-tidying of the loom was a very reasonable £140 so well worth it.
