Looks the part but Unfortunately I suspect it’s another mis reading of the market by Aprilia. I’ve heard rumours of the price which if true is silly for a mid sized bike and I’m not sure who it’s aimed at punter wise.

honest to god, its just a huge misstep by them, if it was A2 compliant or even restrictable it might get a market??!! but who? i'm a huge aprilia fan and this is nowhere near on my radar.

A lot depends on the price...the current king of the 126 - 650 market in the UK is the Royal Enfield 650.
The Enfield the right price, looks right, and is a lovely bike to ride on its own terms, although the performance on paper is no better than a 1971 BSA 650. In fact, to all intents and purposes it IS a 1971 BSA 650, only with no vibration or oil leaks, and a 6-speed gearbox. If they could get the price right...and, as you say, have an A2 option, then maybe. It certainly evokes the 'glory days' of Aprilia strokers kicking Honda about in the 125 and 250 GPs. But there seems to be a chilling lack of interest about it on this forum and others...which is a bit sad.
