ok

So things gone a little quiet and it's about time someone asked what all your bike plans over the Autumn/Winter months are?

For myself

The road Gen2 I will finally get around to fitting the RSV4 rear brake master cyclinder but other than that a service come the spring. Oh an work out if it's the powercommander not picking up the quickshifter or vice versa. It's now in race shift so I need to replace the quickshifter anyways.

The race Gen2 has the option of a hooked air box or to stay with the Evo as I cant really decide which I want on it. Again very little needed other than a new year service before the season starts . The things perfect otherwise.

The race ZX10 r, after its highside that broke me is being repaired over the winter months. Already had some spare panels that just needed minor repairs. New parts required are, chain and sprockets, rear bobbin plus alloy welded lug for it! Carbon tail and tank sliders replaced, left hand side rear set, bar end, new grips, Brembo fancy clutch lever that's proving elusive, remote brake adjuster, new battery required, a new way to mount the rear exhausts as the way they were was not sturdy and no idea how they were staying on really.
Then of course all new fluids ahead of the race season in March.

As for me I'm still repairing myself. Pelvis seems to be healing well despite the fracture in it and not causing discomfort. The sprain in my ankle and foot however is ballooning every time I walk on it whether is use crutches or not so that's my biggest issue. Oh and lastly having to buy a new lid and boots as well as send the race leathers off for repairs. Gloves are passable though 😆

Finish building my mancave and fitting it out, few bits on my gixxer k 7 I want to do and put a thicker clutch steel in the rsv to cure the high rpm slip, service the forks on my multistrada and change the cam belts. Rebuild my 9r after smashing it on the way back from Scotland, scotchbriting the frame and zx10 swingarm I have for it and repaint the new bodywork. Finish the build on an f2 9r me and my mate are doing and hopefully restart the build on my gpz1000rx and a load of work to do on my dodge Dakota, gonna be pretty bloody busy.

I have numerous steels out of a used surflex kit I can use,I put a thinner steel in last year which cured the clutch dragging slightly but is now letting it slip at high rpm, picked it up on the dyno.

For me it's mainly 'boring' preventative mods this winter that will make starting the bike as strong as possible. Never had any issues but more just peace of mind. Oh and track time in the new year.

Got a couple bits left to change on the tuono I've had for while.

Gonna build something using a gen2 tuono frame
Been picking bits and pieces up recently

The heart will be the decider down the road.

Just laid my hands on a akrapovic Evo6 system,

I recently bagged a pair of mint Brembo radial master cylinders, so I think they'll be going on to a set of Renthal Gen3 clip-ons along with a BSD run/start switch to add a bit of race bike bling.

I should soon have some sexy new rearsets complete with RSV4 Brembo master cylinder, courtesy of Hemi and I'm fancying a 520 chain/sprocket conversion, going up to 44T on the rear.

If I get through the other side of that with any money at all left then I've been drooling over this guy's Ti axles for a while http://www.ti64.co.uk/2015/05/13/aprilia-rs250-titanium-wheel-spindles/
but I'd like to go with a sleeve nut, like this http://www.ti64.co.uk/2017/09/22/ducati-1098-titanium-front-wheel-spindle-with-7075-alloy-sleeve-nut/

It's only October though, so I'm sure I'll dream up some more stuff that I'd like to do...

Well when I get round to it I'm going to swap the slicks back over for the road tyres and put road trim back on because there's still some rides left this year.

Then over winter I want to strip and rebuild the Sachs shock and fit a shrader valve to allow me to service it easily again in future. Don't think it's ever been serviced in 16 years and has no damping left.

Also want to replace all seals in front calipers. Been finding that after each track day I need to clean pistons again because I start to get drag. I know Brembo are bad for this but surely it must be better than this. I also burned through a new set of SBS race sintered pads in less than 3 days which surely can't be right for my pace.

Plus oil change etc. and strip it down a bit for cleaning.

Lot's of busy sheds this winter Big smile.

For me, I've just finished my garage refurb in time for getting out there as much as possible it's lovely working in a bright and organised area. No gardening stuff, no kids stuff except their pushbikes. If it's not two wheel related it's in the new shed.

Bikewise got lots on, Gen2 factory I've begun to break is centre stage at the moment so continue to strip as and when parts are required. Might buy a Gen1 or RSV4 next to break will see how this one goes
Sell the 125 I've just finished. Strip down the trackbike and give it a really good going over won't be adding anything to that she's good to go again after a full health check and fluid change. The Daytona probably won't come out again this year so she'll also have a full service including the valve check. This will be the first triple I've worked on so I'm going to give it a really thorough investigation because she's only done 500miles a year since birth and things get neglected when not used for a long periods and I intend to really use it next year with one or two tours. Been gathering lot's of bits that will all be going on before the spring just keep adding to the pile and I'll put it all on when the other projects are done.
I'm replacing all the OEM trim with carbon to go along with the carbon tail unit I've already fitted. Only a couple of bits short now. Intergrated rearlight, flush indicators, accosato switch and Lightech chain adjusters should be here today if the guy has posted them yet been waiting ages! De cat headers and MWR filter in the pipeline with a custom tune. Rearsets and levers are also top priority. Otherwise I've got plenty of time on my hands for house renovations........more hours in the day needed!LOL
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left
