Hi gents
New to the forum and to Aprilia after some years on Japs. Bought a used RSV1000R with 8000 km on the clock. The fairings has looked like this from new according to the previous owners. As far as I can figure out this was done by Aprilia in Sweden when the bike was new. Any info from you wizards would be super:) Best regards Peter |

welcome buddy,bike looks great.
i wasnt aware aprilia did any rep models officialy other than the edwards and haga ones, but cmc,a yamaha dealer near me regulaly take new bikes to dream machine and have them done as race reps from new to help sell them and make them stand out a bit more. maybe yours was done the same? either way, shes a looker, not seen the ms scheme on a gen 2,lots on gen 1's. very nice and kudos for getting the hang of putting pics up right away.lol.

Thx and looking forward to the summer which feels pretty far away right now here in Sweden.
I found an old pic of the bike and as far as I can tell it i s missing some IP decals on the side fairings and on the front fender. Any clues om where to find such an item? Posting on more from the side just because I figured out how to:)

lovely machine mate seen a few of the ms reps but always assumed that someone paid for the paint job pretty sure this was never an official factory paint scheme, in fact there was no official race rep apart from the bol dor endurance bike as far as I know but i could be wrong .
Anyhow its lovely and welcome along to the ape house.

Lovely looking bike! I have a signed Shakey photo in my office from years ago when he raced the Cube with Jezza - still think it's the best looking bike to ever grace MotoGP. You'll get many admirers of that bike Sir - a real stunner!
