Can anyone recommend a good rear master cylinder rebuild kit?  Apologies if this has been asked  many times before but I haven't found a definite answer in the search section. Also what a stupid place to put a master cylinder.  Besides buying rearsets is there any mad that can be done to protect the cylinder from the excessive heat ?

You can get a tin heat shield for them but it's not exactly a fix, only real way is with rearsets.

It has the heat shield fitted already,  for all the good it does . It could do with some of the tiles the space shuttle uses for re-entry!

The falco has the master on rearsets, don't know if the bolt centres are the same though but it would be a cheaper fix.

get yourself a roll of magmawrap

Wrap your headers and connectors with it back to the can and the heat issue goes away ,
It certainly keeps the heat inside the system, it is superb ( if a bit of a pain to do.
