Finally, after saving, and having vouchers for Christmas and my birthday I finally got my Abba Skylift. What an awesome piece of kit.
The build quality is brilliant, the bike is solid, and it's so simple to move around and set up, even on a none perfect garage floor.

I'm officially done with working on my back.

Fine bit of kit that Sam. Keep promising myself one but end up spending too much on bike bits!
Question everything.

Very jealous indeed that's quality was only looking at them yesterday.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

IF you no someone in a dealer who will do them at cost price, you will save a few quid. I still paid £420 for it.

They had them at the NEC on offer for £399 but it's very rare that abba put an offer on.

In my eyes, it's worth it, so adaptable to other bikes and they're not for sale 2nd hand very often, so shouldn't lose a huge amount if I was to sell it.

If I didn't already have the ABBA stand - with the front lift arm attachment - I might consider one of these, they do look the business. The only thing that I'm unsure about is will the legs get in your way when working and moving around the bike?

They're slightly different Si, but they're cheaper and do the same thing.

What I like about the abba, is how quickly it can be connected to your bike, and that it's supported from both sides. I was quite vigorous with it yesterday and it didn't budge, I didn't even have a "heart in the mouth moment".

Doesn't the spider just hold the bike from one side?

The feet haven't got in the way yet, in fact I used them for a lever to manoeuvre the bike and also a spot for my magnetic trays.

Time will tell when I want to remove the rear shock and exhaust system.

Now I don't know this first hand, but I've been told that the Skylift is by far better quality than the others. Better made, more stable and lifts higher. Some of the other makes, don't have the tilt facility fore and aft. For me personally, the Abba is the one to go for. They know their onions.
Question everything.

Most certainly, but the same with the Abba regarding reviews Big smile

After having the Abba Superbike stand and front arm for sometime, probably helps my choice, in a devil you know sort of way. But build quality over cost for me every time and I know I'll get that with the Skylift.

I don't know anyone with a Spider. But a friend keeps snakes  LOL

Ooh no! When I was a kid, I used to have nightmares of spiders crawling in my bed clothes and all over me!

Funnily enough, I don't have arachnophobia though...

My brother does, which has led to many a jolly jape, at his expense over the years LOL

My Mum hated snakes and we used to leave those rubber snakes in places to give her a fright. Rotters we were!

I don't think I have any animal phobias. Though I wouldn't want to be bitten by a rabid nazi zombie dog, trampled by an elephant or head chomped off by a lion. Shocked

Sam, you really need to sort that garage out! Tongue
People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

Ha ha Steve, I wondered how long it would take. Unfortunately it's not mine if it was it would probably be tiled and white washed

My garden just about slows me to have a 8x6 shed.

IF I remember correctly, I don't think you can remove the swing arm if needed with the spider (I maybe wrong). You can with the Abba, granted you have to buy another fitting kit that bolts to the foot pegs or something.

There are a few around (not many) so I guess its what your budget allows and what you want to get from the lift.

For me the Abba was a no brainer with its build quality & versatility.

I was saving for the Abba Skylift (great bit of kit) until a virtually unused hydraulic bench came up for £275 so bought that and love it but still consider the Skylift the best overall option
Full Arrows system, 1060 Big Bore, PC5 and Evo Airbox. Bring on the big grin!
