Absolutely love my new (to me) rsvr 2000 model, I straight swapped a gsxr 600 k4 for it and the Mille is a million times over a better bike. Love the sound the looks and the quality over the jap i4’s. Coming from a 600 with no low down shove this bike has opened a much more relaxed and easier approach to everything from overtaking to handling. Feels probably about as quick as the 600 but it just oozes quality from the suspension and brakes that the gixxer even being 5 years the newer bike cannot even match. A very undervalued modern classic the rsvr I can’t understand why they are not fetching a lot more money, grab a good one while you still can, because surely there value has to rise.

Welcome in Boz
Shh don't tell peeps how good they are, everyone will want one and our future supply pools will dry up ha ha Great bikes aren't they? Quite a contrast to a revvy 600, lots of low and mid punch where you want it. Enjoy it mate. |

Be great to see a pic or two Boz.
The 00R is the prettiest of all the Milles in my book, hands down. If I could have a few Apes, one of those would be deffo in there |

Welcome along Boz. There's no going back now you've sampled the ape. V twins are addictive if you get on with them you will always have, want,or miss them.

Hi badapple, have to say thanks to all you guys welcoming me to the forum.... not a truer word has been said mate, I’m already thinking of buying another, maybe a gen2 factory next time.... although I like the thought of being super comfy and riding a Tuono..... my old 85 gsxr Slabsides won’t even get a look in now I fear......

You won't find a more knowledgeable and friendly bunch then on here but you will spend far more than before on a bike. I have a gen2 factory and it's my 3rd rsv on the trot and I've modded all of them haha. Old slabbies are very cool bikes sounds like we need pics!

Woohoo thought you'd forgotten about the pics. They are super cool always fancied one but i bought a ZX7R instead at the time. Not enough money or room for anymore bikes but any of the late 80's early 90's bikes certainly float my boat you're a lucky boy enjoy

Those 2 GSXR are lovely, when I was looking for a third bike it was a toss up whether it would be another GSXR (but a classic) or a later V twin of some description. Really wanted the SP2 but priced out of my budget, settled for 2002 Mille R, been in the garage on a drip feed ever since, really need one of those machines you see in Hospital ER rooms that beep occasionally indicating the patient is alive. Its flat-lined a couple of times but as Im a paramedic Ive been first-responder with those charged-up paddly things ? - "Stand Back ! - charging ! - Bang ! - we have a pulse ! lol... got to love the Aprilia life change.

Lol!! Thanks mate both the gixxers are a labour of love, my aprilia too resides on life support in the garage. If I feed her good petrol, oil and electricity she’s happy....

Boz84 you said it perfect in your first post i allways think the same about the Rsv's and allways push how good they are on people but they just don't want to know to my dismay lol
For most of them it seem's down to the looks which i still don't understand!as i think there beautiful for instance my fav incarnations is your lovely bike(an early R) above or a edwards... But then I have A 2015 R1,2000 RSV R,2007 Husaberg 650 in the garage ,I think there honestly all as equally beautiful! |
