The 4 cylinder Kawasaki is a great example of what really talented people are capable and humbling the rest of us. The eBay add of the RGB has great detail pictures that are worth studying. What I like best about building the TR750 is researching the bike, they only built about 30 of the series 2, and trying to build it as close to the original than I'm able to afford. It's a bit like archeology . Have met some great people that have been so helpful . Steve Wheatman being one of them, my prize bit is a three cable twist grip in magnesium that I bought from Mr Wheatman. Will try to get some pictures up today of the project.
Thanks for your replies. Got brakes and clutch fluids all changed out on the RSV, first ride out is this Saturday! |

Hi Legend, I would love to buy one but they are well out of my reach. They can go anything upto 150 grand for some of the ex gp ones. But I got to go on one when the rider was injured a I as his mechanic had to test and plug chop it. It will always remain the most overwhelming bike the i have ridden and the most memorable. Beautiful engines to work with. Weight to power was so noticeable in every way, acceleration, braking and changing direction. The dry clutch the power band, the first go was just hectic but a chance of a lifetime. I will be building the mk 1 for his son sometime. The one I had a go on was a mk 9 and also a mk5. They were not the easiest bikes to ride and very unforgiving. When the square fours finished the when to the V4. |

That's going to be very special, the triple cable throttle reminds me of the multi cable ones of the RGBs.
I wonder sometimes if some of the attention to detail was better then with these classics |

Dog78, thanks for posting. I am aware of BDK and may gets some bits from them at some point. Really enjoyed the video on Sheens XR14 500. The TR750 was called the XR11, the series 2 was around 73 and 74. It was built for the short lived Formula 750 class.
Next bit for me is getting the expansion chambers made up. Suspect that will be this fall, would like it completed about this time next year. |
