Exactly that Ian. The roads are riding out there is worth it alone - its not all about the 'ring although it is a great experience. Im going back after IOM if finances allow. Gets costly with my sons racing and my track bike riding. I have a group that are very persuasive at getting me to book some each month LOLLOL

Some people can do that quite easily I find

I doubt I'll ever get to ride the 'ring now,I certainly don't fancy a long road trip. Now if I could just get 'beamed down' on some nice roads that would be ideal.

I'm spoilt for good roads near to home and I sometimes find I can ride for an hour really enjoying it then just not fancy the ride back, natures way of telling me my biking days are drawing in perhaps?

Unfortunately age and injuries do play a part in that. My uncle was heavily into racing through the 70's and 80's and needed back surgery and now enjoys riding about on his B King (He's 60's now) and I have alot of metal in my left side so although still fairly young (35) I find I walk like a robot after a few hours on the bike...but they are very addictive!
