Hi guys, I just came across this thread (I'm quite new to aprilias and this forum). Does anyone still have the photos of Badgers air box mod tutorial? As they dont show up on my computer. I just ordered a collector from redratbike and a Forza chip, so thought I might go all out and mod the air box as well..... Many thanks

Just got this feedback on Facebook
Hello fellow Aprilians. Just parked my bike and decided to tell you my experience with the very basic performance mods on Gen1 RSV. By lurking on this group and AF I’ve decided to do a collector mod + Forza eprom with still pending open airbox mod(homemade). I’ve sourced my chip from Elliott Ed and collector was supplied by Mark Redratbike Sinclair. Collector arrived today, took me about 20-30mins to swap existing and about 5mins to swap Eproms. And there it was... I’m mind blown how much of a difference that made! I was greeted with a change in the way bike sounds up to 5k rpm. It’s got much more grunt now which I absolutely love. Performance wise it’s become a completely different machine(much much better) and it’s going to take me a few more miles to get used to throttle, as it goes as much as you turn without any usual hesitation(the ones that had these mods done will understand). Long story short - oh my god! Many thanks to the people mentioned and if anyone reading this has a bone stock Mille - trust me, this is the way to go. Wow! |

He doesn't exaggerate, one of Marks modded collectors is probably the best thing to do to a single can Ape, sure, if you have many mods then a full Akra twin system could slightly better it but the law of diminishing returns applies. I also use a full modded airbox with smoothed Edwards tubes and an FR200 chip. The airbox mod in my opinion is overrated, I will probably go back to a closed system, but there again I'm not a fan of huge induction noise anyway Modded collector remains the biggest single best bang per buck mod you can do
