I have my collector and headers off so decided to wrap the rear header
to try and give the rear shock an easier life.
Bought some 1" x 15 ft DEI tape, expecting to have some left over...
nope, took the whole 15 feet.

People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

I'm planning taking my system off to give it a good clean but now you have me thinking about wrapping rather than trying to keep on top of cleaning it thereafter

In fact heat wrap would save all the effort involved in trying to polish it in the first place

Mmmm,thinks Confused

Yep it takes more than you think, did you wet the dei tape before fitting it as it makes it a lot easier. Nice job with the lockwire as well as its how I do mine.

Yep, soaked it first, made it a lot more pliable, easier to stretch and fit.

I find it easier to put on if you fasten the one end of the wrap in a vice or tie it to something and then start to wrap the pipes from the other end as once you have a couple of turns on you can pull it really nice and tight.
