A mate of mine did that years ago. He had a CBR600 and changed it to a Fireblade in exactly the same colour. She never knew.

This reminds me of an add I saw many years ago. It said...................
Suzuki GSXR 750 for sale. Just 2 weeks old , Blue/white, only 25 miles on it. Absolutely as new . All keys/handbook/documents. Reason for sale, do what you f**king like doesn't mean what I thought it did. |

WTF are Laboutin shoes? I'm glad my wife is a country girl. She was over the moon when I bought her some Muck Boot Co. wellies. Ha ha
An old buddy of mine bought an R1 back in about 05. No mention to the girlfriend (now wife). He went away on a stag do weekend and came home to find that she had taken his, now 2 week old, bike and traded it in for a Peugeot 206! Ha ha. Conversely, when I said I was off to look at a Mille, my wife asked if I wanted her to tag along so I could bring it straight home if it was the right bike. Spoils me does that one. |

To answer your question in the most polite way I can think of............Laboutins are the kind of wheels you would want your wife wearing to go with her hot pants / tees hirt combo when she is riding pillion with you ............and yes they are more expensive than a new set of Pirelli Diablos for your iron horse. However they are the ultimate brownie points and they could be the gift that keeps giving if you are into that kind of thing. |

Got it in one there😉
Karen already has a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.....I offered to buy her a pair of Jimmy Choo's but she ended up with a Mulberry purse instead (that was also more than a new set of Pirelli Diablos😂😂) |

Lucky for me that I live a long way from any decent shops.
I would want a new bike and every carbon part in the accessory book plus a full Ti akra exhaust system in exchange for those shoes. She'd break her neck in them anyway
Hmmm........................(where do I get some) |

Again I'm going to praise my wife here. She is somewhat utilitarian when it comes to possessions. Likes a few nice bits certainly but generally nothing expensive for the sake of it. She got most excited yesterday after sending me out to buy her a Karcher steam cleaner. Ha ha. She is partial to things from Tiffany though.

Thing is I don't get it sometimes how guys moan and whinge about women wanting expensive shoes, bags, jewellery etc.
Let's face it bikes aren't cheap and for many of us they are a toy, a desire ... Not a need. Yes they can be practical but most of the time it's about the bling. Carbon this carbon that, exhausts that cost a fortune, chips, maps, air filters, upgrade the brakes, the wheels, the air box... The list goes on. We spend hundreds if not thousands on our bikes, and that's not including the actual bike and then the running costs, tax, insurance, MoT, fuel etc Generally women are not in to cars and bikes, if shoes and handbags are their thing then why shouldn't they have them? Yeah we might think £600 for a pair of shoes is ludicrous and a waste of money, but they think the same when you spend £600 on an exhaust to replace the one you already have that lets be honest does the job. It's all about perspective, would I spend £600 on a pair of shoes for me? No.... Would I spend £600 on a pair of shoes for my lady? Yes without a thought. They get the same rush as we do. Nothing we love more than when a fellow biker appreciates our steeds, and the same goes for them, women love it when another woman comments on their Louboutins of Mulberry bag or Tiffinany necklace. So stop being so bloody tight and if your women wants treating then treat her. Some girls don't want expensive things, some just want to be thought of. So if she really wants that bag from Primark or that bag from Mulberry cost should not be the issue, what's important is you get her exactly what she wants 😉 |

Karen stop replying pretending to be Paul After years and years of horses and tack that makes exhausts and jimmy woo woo shoes look cheap, I am in soooo much credit for spending on my bike. But my duke has not had a pressie for a while beyond servicing etc so I have been a good boy.

Haha.... My sensible side came out for a second there, but I do mean it. Like you say Spoonz you have spent a fortune on horse tack, saddles etc... When it comes to horses, bike costs pale into insignificance lol |

Strange the way women go mad for shoes and handbags.
My daughter works for Jimmy Choo and some of the kit she wears should be locked up in a safety deposit box on cost grounds My Mrs is happy though, birthdays and Christmas's along comes a special box to make her happy, but daughter wasn't well happy when her brother dunked her new, mega expensive, exotic python skin handbag in a puddle of beer one night. He just shrugged and said " well snakes are waterproof aren't they? " That's a man thing |

I'd have no issue with my wife spending the money but she doesn't want to. Doesn't see the point. As she would put it, she has no reason to own shoes like that. Nowhere to wear them. We live in the country and work with dogs. Different if she had a city office job I suppose.
By the same respect I have a Mille R that cost less than 3 grand and have bought an Arrow system of ebay for it for under £200. Nothing more. I'm happy with it. I have no reason to own a £15000+ bike for the sake of the odd sunny day out. Expensive guff is overrated. The bulk of our disposable income is spent on our 3 kids and 5 dogs. They are our life and where we enjoy spending. |

Well beyond Aigle. Muck Boot Co are like the bastard lovechild of a wellie and a trainer. Proper comfy.
5 woofers are the tip of the iceberg. We're dog trainers and run a dog day care. There is usually 15 to 20 dogs out with us every day. Good wellies and waterproof walking boots are a must. Stilettos don't see much use. Nor do Bonios as we have to cater for dogs with allergies. Usually grain intollerance. One of our own included. We tend to use dehydrated duck or venison. I'll stop rambling there. Could talk dogs for days. |
