OK Guys, I need your help.

I replaced my starter cables for Johns uprated cables  (Quality items) at the week end.

The problem is that the old girl wont start!

Cold start lever fully on.
Kill switch checked
Neutral light showing green
Turn key
Fuel pump primes
press starter button
Engine turns over like a 18 year old in his first lapdancing club.
engine fires then dies within 1 second.

No ideaConfused

Sorted.
Tip over sensor re installed up side down. Embarrassed  School boy error.

But, id like to say the John mod has improved the starting like you would not believe. Highly recommended for anyone with an ageing Gen 1. Its like vitamin V for the starter system. Easy to install, the main issue I thought I would have was replacing the cable to the starter motor. In the end it wasn't a problem. I tied a piece of cord to the battery end and pulled it through from the starter end, leaving the cord where the cable was. I then tied the battery end of the new cable to the cord and pulled it back from the battery. Simples.

There are two bits of soldering to do but everything else is just bolt off bolt on. Just remember which way the tip over sensor is fitted. (mark the top before you remove it)

Yes this is the cable that goes from the inside left frame earth post to the rear engine head.
