Hey guys. Just got my AP Rearsets... Lovely! But do any of you have any pics of your set ups if you have the arranged for extra legroom. Ie flipped and lowered settings? Just wanna see how you lot went about it. When I flipped mine (on a table at home not on the bike yet) the brake stopper seems really high or I need an extra long actuator for the rear brake? Maybe I'm missing something here and when it's on the bike it will make sense but still... Any pics would be great.

Mine were a complete pain to get sorted and it will take you a couple of hrs.

You have to cut the shaft that goes into the M/C down bit by bit until you get it the right length as it'll hit the exhaust and keep a constant ressure on the rear brake making it bind. But if you cut it to short it won't work.

Nope it's a Tuono Racing.

Been thinking I also had to file the moutning holes out a bit. Where it mounts to the frame.

You turn the left one over and mount it on the right. so it's upside down and vice a versa if you see what I mean.

Hey Jolly, just been checking out your Facebook page, loving the V-twin vac pump!.
Did you do the carbon heel plates for your AP rearsets.... and if you did do they fit over the originals or are they a complete replacement?

Red Lion Factory......V2 awesomeness....and surely more than 2 cylinders is pointless....😎

well i thought i would update with my progress on this... after a lot of fettling and fiddling and trying the plates reversed and back to normal and with the hanger in may different positions the only position that i could put them in that gained me ANY more legroom was as in the picture and then i think i only gained about 10 to 15mm...... maybe i was doing somthing worng but i guess i was expecting them to drop more than that although on the other side i could drop any more as the back of the gear change would hit the esxhaust. still its made a nice clean look with the RSV4 master cylinder so no need for a remote reservior and the back brake is now solid as a rock and should stay that way

Bugger, beat me too it - I've got a RSV4 rear master to go on mine too just not got round to fitting it yet! No need for that crappy bit of leaking pipe that people call an HRC kit! No offence peeps but it just seems like a bodge to me.

you will need a couple of bits to fit the RSV4 cylinder. i can measure all the bits this weekend but you will need two collar spacers behind the rearset plate to space the master cylinder away slightly and a different pushrod and threaded rod for the rose joint. also the stock rear line wont work as the 90 degree bend on the end of the line wont fit over the edge of the cylinder, i ordered a new made to measure one from Venhills with the right ends.

i will take some measurements and pics over the weekend and post them up.

i think it looks a lot neater this way

I haven't tried anything up yet so come across the issues either. Any specs and suggestions to save me time would be gratefully appreciated. I can make up (Or have made) the collars etc. I also have the RSV4 line but might well not work either so sizes/specs for the line you bought would be a help as well.

ok so i have been out and taken some measurements.

first off you will need to mount the V4 master cylinder backwards from how its mounted on the original bike. you need 2 x 6mm long collar spacers to fit ober the M6 bolts that go through the rearset into the thread of the master cylinder.

the new line i ordered from venhill is the perfect length and consists of
1 x 725mm Braided Stainless line
1 x M10 45 degree side bend banjo stainless
1 x M10 straigh banjo stainless

the 45 degree side bend allows the line to step back from the rearset as you can see in the pics.

the new pushrod for the cylinder is a KTM part and i have attached a pic of the part numbers (number 15 is what you need). you will need a short length of threaded stainless to replace the pushrod you already have (i just cut this from a stainless bolt) i dont have the length of this but the length will depend on the angle you have fitted the rearsets anyway

where the old master cylinder used to sit i have attached a small clip to hold the cables in place and replaced the bolts that were there with some old stainless ones i had... i need to get new ones as the ones i used look a bit old and tatty

onto the pics
