Hi all, I'm new to the family and I have a few questions, you've probably heard them many time before but like I said I'm new to this.
Coolant reservoir is dryer than a desert. I've undone the rad cap and there is coolant present. Is it normal for the reservoir to be dry ?
The oil site pipe is free of oil as well, is that normal ?
I've moved over from jap bikes to twins, are fluids checked differently ?

The res shouldn't be dry, there are two lines moulded in for the level.

The clear tube with the plugged end underneath the air filter will probably be clear as the oil gets in on the other side of the box and just spreads around rather than going where it should.

Hi.
The one on the oil tank is often empty as oil should be checked after a good run out when engine is up to temp. If it was low the oil light would come on. Once warm and upright the oil needs to be between the min and max marks.

Fill up the rad till its full then put some in the reservoir also. Need to run it and make sure there are no air locks. Once up to temp, with no air locks let it cool and if needed top up at coolant reservoir.

And make sure all the hose connections are good, the standard clips are known to leak a little.
