Afternoon all
Had my gen 2 mot'd today and passed..... But a question arose? When I turn my bars lock to lock there is very little room left for my hands. The chap at the mot garage said he would ignore it but apparently it's a fail if you cannot retain complete control of the bike at full lock. Is that the case and if so, is it a case of 'they all do that sir' (bit like the rear brake etc)? Cheers all |

Depends what he deems 'full control' I know on my Gen 1 that unless I borrowed Jeremy Beadles hands there's no way I can operate the indicators, lights, horn etc, but can just about pull the brake and clutch.
Did he explain what he meant by his comment? |

He said there had to be sufficient room to operate all the controls and be in full control of the vehicle..... He turned a blind eye any way. I wouldn't mind but it's not as if I have changed anything!

I don't think you'd be wanting to operate any buttons when on full lock, chances are you'd have more immediate concerns.
I know what you though, clearance is really tight on my bike as well. Not helped by ethanol causing the tank to deform slightly I would think. |
