Gen 2 tail light differences

   Hi,
I've a 2005 factory and currently have clear tail light and indicator lenses. 

I've seen some gen 2 bikes with a red tail light which I prefer the look of. 

Was there an option when buying new of what colour lights you wanted or do they correspond to a certain spec or year?

I'm changing the indicator lenses to orange but can't find a part number for a red tail light.
From having a look at parts diagram on Fowler's, there're 5 different part numbers but they don't say what the differences are.

	The early gen2 (04) had red tail light plastic with a matching red reflector on the seat pod and orange indicator plastic. The seat pod reflector got dropped and tail light and indicators went to clear plastic the following year. There was never an option to chose from new. Later gen2’s had a different shape fairing front and rear so although the colour remained clear, they may have changed shape again.

	Here was me thinking the Italian's were just fitting whatever was in the closet parts bin during production... 😉 Thanks for clearing that up. It also answers another of my queries regarding the seat pod and why some have that red relfector window piece (mine doesn't).
