Hi, had an evo airbox kit fitted to my 02 rsvr the other day, the bike goes like absolute bastard now but after lifting the tank and greasing the rubber seal there seems to be places where its not touching the underside of the tank, mainly at the rear. Is this a problem as it could now draw dirt into the throttle body's?

Have you tried taking the seal off and turning it over

Could you fit some heat reflectant shield on the tank underneath to take up the difference

Could you stick some of this under the rubber seal around the edge of the airbox to force it up against the tank?

Cool, cheers for all the advice, will try redrats idea as the seal seems to droop a bit at the rear. Don't want to go back to standard box as the bike goes like billy-o now thanks to Alex and Lewis at AP, top lads.
did read an old post about homer ewe kits, the seal on his looks much better but cant find out where I could get that from????
