Err, maybe the screwdriver blade? Seriously though, yes it's missing.

Had to use the bike for work this week - yes! I rode through storm Claudio, round the M25 on Diablo super corsas. Axle deep in a couple of places.
Spent today cleaning the crud off her and sorting the chain out.

I expect the toolkit that comes with most bikes could probably be best replaced by ones own choice of tools. These days they probably don't expect a rider to even know what the tools are supposed to do. To be honest the practical expertise of most of the new generation I've met leaves a lot to be desired. I think the future is going to be interesting when the brown stuff finally hits the fan and the lights start going out and the snowflakes can't rely on their Iphones to call up someone to fix things and have to do it themselves.

That was said as a parent of three Uni graduates, all with Bsc's in various disciplines and sundry other letters after their names. As I once said to an Government cabinet advising Professor in answer to a question whilst I was attempting (failing) a job interview, the question being" How did I view the merits or otherwise of a uni graduate compared to someone who worked themselves up from the shop floor" My considered answer bearing in mind I'd already decided I wouldn't take the job even if it was still offered was that in my opinion the grad although undoubtedly incredibly highly qualified normally wouldn't have the common sense to come in out of the rain. After the sharp intakes of breath from the interviewing panel I seem to have struck a chord with the Professor as he slowly started chuckling then took me on extended tour of the semi classified facility to meet some of his graduates. They even showed me the only machine of it's type outside it's twin in a Chinese PLA research lab and the two elite Chinese grads? operating it. I wasn't offered the job in the end though and my kids are now rapidly learning the practical skills needed to go with their academic achievements that I failed to instill in them when they were younger and only interested in other things.

Similar opinion of graduates here.
The only glimmer of hope is a grandson - who at the age of 3 could use an android phone and an iPad - now likes mechanics and metalwork which comes in handy as he has small hands and can see better than me when we’re ’messing about in the shed’

Sorry,I know I'm predictable (Before you say it Adam), but if the fall was due to the upright stand, this is what you need: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165741314597

No - the fall was me being cack-handed with my paddock stand.
I hang my head in shame.

Oh dear, at least there wasn't too much damage. I've never done that but it's always something I think about! Anyway, I would still recommend a US spec sidestand to all RSV/Tuono owners whether Gen1 or Gen2

Dead as a dodo. Taiwanese solenoid - no longer made - surprise, surprise! So much for the first ride of the year grrr. I’m not messing about and have ordered a 200A one, instead. From a reputable UK supplier who has a purchase guarantee and low postage costs. All I’ll have to do is cut the bracket off and swap the old connector over.

You won't need the old connector but will need a spade for the trigger feed and then earth the other side of the trigger to the housing somehow |

Thanks. Am going to use the old solenoid connector wiring, cut it off and crimp on 2 spades….1 for the feed, the other I’ll leave enough of the bracket to connect the crimped connector to. I have a nasty feeling the bikes start system is switched earth though? If it is I’ll just fix the solenoid on with insulating top hats as well. But: got to rely on the mail to turn up….Thursday, I reckon.
