Hi folks newbie here to owning a gen2 ,I bought the bike after it had been in storage for a couple of years, the previous owner had a new battery fitted, but it flattens the new battery and only attempts to fire every now and then.
The new battery is 10amp,should I replace it with a more powerful amp wise battery,iv also replace the solenoid with an 150amp version.. Any info would be grand,👌🙂

What year Gen2 mate? It should already have the 150amp solinoid, the upgrade leads are well worth it. When you fit the new battery go through the correct procedure
Key on don't start, 30 seconds or so set the clock and shift light. Key off Key on start up. This prevents the battery going into a drain mode and wrecking the new battery.

Upgraded Battery Leads - Yep 150A Solenoid (If you don't already have it) Upgraded Battery - get one with High CCA - over 200A I would also add new plugs if it's been stood for two years and then been repeatedly cranked over, good chance they have been fouled. |
