Mad isn’t it.

I’ve a set of forged gold ones off the 57 plate bike but keeping them in case I ever put them back on for now. Am I right in saying RSV4 forged ones fit Gen2 without mods also? Certain the first few models do

It would be helpful to know what would be a straight fit.How come you don’t have yours on the bike Wiggins?

Yes I'm pretty sure v4's are a direct fit. They are getting harder to find and are a desirable mod . Fronts are obviously rarer due to front enders.

As a little tip, a certain Mr John Coughlan at Bikersworld, East Grinstead,  was selling brand new sets of V4 wheels for about £350, I think he can get them pretty much as and when anybody is after some.  😎👌

Better to have something you don't need than need something you don't have....

It is a proper bargain Legend,  John gets some really good deals from time to time and he's been offering the deal on these wheels for a while now, you cant grumble at that price for a brand new set, they do look really smart as well I think and I'd wager are a fair bit lighter than the gen 2 cast Oz lookalikes.

Plenty of useful info as usual from everyone thanks. I would like carbon ones like you Wiggins but the finance police would throw away the front door key

Wow forged carbon spokes. Hadn't seen those from Rotobox yet. But stop it LOL

Interestingly, four people on this thread have Bst's.

I was looking for a little carbon for the new (to me) Ducati and found this from BST Shocked Shocked

Love it Adam. Fast, beautiful, wheelie O'clock. Also I'm not doing 120+ to get my kicks on it being a proper naked with no screen or fairing whatsoever.
It's fully sorted. One owner from new, fsh and being the S model, comes with the Ohlins forks and shock, carbon hugger fender and belt covers etc, radial masters, forged Marchesini's, 330mm Brembo discs, M4 calipers, 8 mode traction control, DDA which is a small usb dongle under the seat, which you can plug into a laptop or pc to see whats what and it's got shotgun Termignonis plus ecu and filter etc. Much smaller than the mille. Just a great bike to be out and about on and suprisingly practical. 167 kilo's dry.
I want to just get a few cf bits for it, but not full cf like the Ape.
The Mille however, I've built as my dream bike and you know the spec. Hopefully a big reveal at the start of the new season.

Like James, I've kept my Oz and Brembo wheels, but I need to let them go now really. Never going to sell the Mille anyway and got the BST's from Nick. I will probably keep the Brembo rear for dyno duties (because Warren does)

The OZ's are the early Gen 1 ones, so it would be 5mm out of line on a Gen 2, as the motor sits further over. They are the earliest ones for the Aprilia, which they actually painted blue rather than anodize from new. I think you pointed it out. I hadn't really thought about tbh LOL Perfect for someone that wants to paint them a different colour. Hot red was quite fashionable after Nicky boy did his. Got them from AP at the time.

Hope you're well buddy and see you soon Big smile

Sounds absolutely amazing dude can't wait to see it and hopefully you can ride it without too much discomfort? I've always aspired to a Ducati eversince I heard a 916 go through the village when I was about 12 and I will own one been thinking about it as a 40th birthday present in a couple of years. Your ape is quite frankly the best build I've ever seen so a big reveal will be a serious treat for those who have seen the hard work over the years and just as much for newer members you really should get it in a magazine dude. Yes I was the one who noticed the paint LOL had to find something not perfect!Big smile

In this day and age of pcp and throw away society we need peeps like ourselves to modify, change and generally muck about with old bikes and keep things interesting! Keep up the good workThumbs Up

I can ride it all afternoon, only fuel stops needed. Other Adam reminded me that I always wanted one Clap

The Ape, I stop every 40 mins or so to unbend the left leg, which I have to keep dangling now and again when riding. I have AP rearsets and should probably look at lowering them again, find the lowest setting. My back is great with sport bikes, but the upright position of the Tuono is too much. All the weight on the base of the spine. You're leaning forwards on the Duc SF and it's enough. Much more seat to foot peg room as well. On the Ape my leg is bent the maximum it can.

Completely agree about the throw away society. Plus it looks like the momentum is gathering and we will all have to share electric public transport..... Enjoy what we have whilst we can. Though they do say the targets for 0 emissions is going to be phased in and you can keep running your motors - just new ones have to be elec or similar. Can you believe any political party that tells you anything? Prise mine from my cold dead fingers ( after I've been poisened from "fresh air" and I'll die happy)

Back on topic and for the op, for me changing from the Gen 1 Brembo wheels to the forged OZ's was night and day at the time. Though I didn't get much riding in til they were changed again.

Question everything.

Nice one Nick, that's a happy Xmas Cool

I do like the blue, but I think the gold edges in front and tends to be what most seem to want.
