Aren't the longer filters blamed for low oil pressure issues?

Don't take my comment as gospel but I'm sure I heard something about that although it may have been only Gen1's |

The small filter restricts oil at high rpm. the large one give low pressure at low rpm. Such is the Internet ! The small filter came first, then went large..... |

I have never seen anything about the short filter restricting flow at high revs, where did you see that?
According to Griff when I discussed it with him, the only reason they went to the large filter was that Aprilia needed a new supplier due to the cashflow problems they had at the time. Mine has the short filter and I asked Griff if he would recommend changing to the long one and he said no. |
