Right so next little adventure and only 4 weeks away!

Who's going and what dates? What bikes? Having ten years off the road bike scene and going for the first time last year I learnt alot! One thing for sure bring 2 pairs of gloves as it sucks riding in wet gloves from the day before!

I'll be on my Aprilia Tuono Factory and if Im anything like last year I'll rack up over a thousand miles in the week so Im sure to see someone from here

I'm going 2nd - 10th, as a foot passenger. We're taking mountain bikes. We leave from Heysham at 1145, and are stopping at Union Mills Football Club.

I'm not seeing much going on here? Plenty of Tuono Factory here and early rsv's

I've done a few laps of the mountain, did Ramsey sprint today and ate alot of cake so it's going well

Well Im back. Good week had although last year was more fun. Weather was poor for alot of the trip but we still got plenty of riding in - it just meant the pace was always slow (I ran supercorsa's and they dont like rain)

I managed the mountain run just 3 times as it was either closed from crashes, wind or flooding. I did however eat copious amounts of cake and had a right crack every night with the guys

Top of the Island in 60mph winds

At Peel on one of the two nice days

I managed to after a bit of messing around find a gopro position that actually worked and didnt shake about so video below and picture of me trying to work with technology (Im useless at it)

https://youtu.be/BWIvuQ3J2jE

Because the weather was bad and I didnt do it last year we saw alot more sites and scenary. Went to the top of the mountain and watched the racing on this 1892 Tram

Did the Ramsey sprint run what you brung sunday and held the quickest road bike time of a 6.92 although the drag bikes were in the same class and smashed me all running 6.00 to 6.49! 2nd fastest road bike was a CBR1000RR 7.02 and my mates ZX10R made 3rd with a 7.07

https://youtu.be/6HB-OqoDyG4
https://youtu.be/eo6Xvlo1Nug

I didnt see the sticker they put on my screen until after (Buggers)

Bikes bikes bikes everywhere while we got ready to watch the beach quad and mx racing

On the Saturday night the guys found this and stuck it on my door...I genuinely crapped myself waking up in the morning with it staring at me!

Some good humor in the paddocks

And love or hate it there is definitely a presence of this stuff. The workbench is full or circuit boards...not my bag but appreciate the tech that goes into it

And that along with alot of the below was pretty much my trip. My pads have left bits on the discs (See other thread) So I need to sort that now Im home. Braking with a on/off pulse is horrible!

Yes there are two in my group - slightly different specs. Both bought in July when first launched and at about 6500-7000 miles now. Ive ridden them a couple times.

The front brake is naff if you ride fast road. First thing you'll want to do is change the pads and fluid

The engine is a peach, really does sound like a vee four at times and Id say it had more initial punch than mine until about 5k. Its also more upright where as the Tuono is a sportier ride although the MT is better for wind protection randomely

For the money I think the MT is a bargain. If you want good power, great sound & all round package you wont go wrong. The QS is a must though - they are brilliant with the Yam one fitted

If you often ride fast road or some track you might get frustrated. They deck easy, wheelie everywhere which isn't funny after a while when trying to accelerate quick and the WC is VERY primitive. It only works in 3 and is basic at best
